This coming Saturday Barshaw Park will be hosting its annual Gala Day and I'm hoping the weather will be just as glorious as it was for the Renfrew equivalent a few weeks ago. There will be loads of stalls, groups and clubs entertaining all visitors to the Gala, showcasing what they offer to Paisley and the rest of Renfrewshire, and I'll be on the hunt for awesome cupcakes like the ones I recently enjoyed courtesy of Renfrew Rotary Club.
It's been a really enjoyable couple of weeks since my last post and I've met a good few people working out at Barshaw. Apologies for not being able to remember everyone's name, but I'll hopefully get to know you all better as time goes on.

So, I figured this would be a great opportunity for Renfrewshire Calisthenics to make an appearance and try attract new people to come workout with us at Barshaw, learn about bodyweight training and support our project.
Joe, Kirsteen and hopefully a few more of my friends (many of whom have developed an interest in calisthenics through my social media posts etc) will be training and generally playing around at Barshaw Park throughout the Gala this Saturday.
If you are someone who is already in to calisthenics and would like to support this project, please come say Hello and I could tell you about my plans for the project. I'm not looking for any commitments or anything like that, or even for you to join our Renfrewshire Calisthenics 'club', if you don't want to do that - it'd just be great to find out how many people would benefit from, and want to train at, a purpose-built, free-to-use facility in our local area.

Guys like Joe and I aren't experts, but we do like to get outside, build muscle and have fun! If that sounds like fun to you too, I'll look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
I've also started a new twitter account to help people get in touch and also share some of our workouts to hopefully inspire others.
You can tweet me @RenfrewBarFit, here.
Alternatively, just leave me a comment at the bottom of this blog and I'll get back to you.
Hopefully see you this Saturday!
